Roof Plumber

As a Roof Plumber, you install, maintain, and repair systems that collect and direct rainwater. This includes fitting and fixing metal roofing, gutters, downpipes, fascia, and drainage systems to protect buildings from water damage.

You’ll work with a range of materials and tools, often at heights, ensuring roofs are weatherproof and compliant with building regulations. Roof plumbing is a specialised trade that plays a key role in the long-term protection and performance of homes and commercial buildings.

A typical day may involve:

Working outdoors and at heights
Install fascias, gutters, downpipes, valley gutters, ridge capping
Lay and secure sheets, flashings and insulation
Order and select roofing and rainwater goods and accessory materials
Prepare and cut roofing materials
Assemble, cut and shape parts to fit
Erecting ladders, scaffolds and safety rails
